LA MIA PERLA BY LA PERLA {REVIEW}

La Perla (The Pearl) is an Italian Lifestyle company, historically known for lingerie
and like so many fashion houses their inevitable fragrance was
created and launched back in 1986.
Despite having created 37 fragrances over the years, its a collection
that I know nothing about, so I was curious to try.

LA MIA PERLA (My Pearl) was very recently added and is the new "Pillar"
of the La Perla Collection and was created by a woman for a woman.

I must make mention of the sophisticated bottle, which is beautiful
with its Rose Gold La Perla "Pearl" cap and it's too stunning not have
 displayed in your room.

The fragrance is classified as a "solaroriental", which is a new classification
to me...and combines solar notes from flowers with oriental notes.
Another unusual facet to this fragrance is the circular composition as opposed
to the conventional pyramid.
The circular composition ensures that the fragrance remains
infinite and unchanged unlike a pyramid where the fragrance changes on the
dry down, as it transitions from it's top note to base note.

Notes of:

Mandarin
White Pepper
Jasmine
Peony
orris,
 musk notes
 and sandalwood

Make for a warm, hypnotic and rather heady fragrance, which for me is a
winter fragrance rather than a summer wear scent.
Unfortunately I found the musk notes too much, but as I've said on so
many occasions fragrance is a very personal choice.

Only available in the eau de parfum format it's definitely
for those lovers of an Oriental, long lingering, statement kind of
fragrance.
As claimed it doesn't develop with time on the skin and
I recollect many years ago MONTANA Blue also remained the same
and for its time it was quite unique feature.
